Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, whenever I go back I am reminded of how nostalgic moss is. It covers everything – walkways, rocks, trees, and all other natural or manmade surfaces. The iconic stone bridge across Multnomah Falls, as well as the boulders and roots and other elements that line the water and paths up to the falls, all are covered in this bountiful moss. The air is thick with moisture as a result of the crashing water beneath Oregon’s tallest waterfall. Standing there is like being in a storybook.

This artwork was made with 68 colors of embroidery floss. Individual pieces were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and an X-acto knife.
