Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

This “Dog Days” card is also available as part of the “In the Woods” card pack.

There is a dog park by my house that is in the shadows of the airport and adjacent to wetlands. Because of that, there are open spaces, marshy reeds, forested areas, and rows of trees. My puppy adores this place, and I wanted to capture the peaceful joy of his contented exploration in the fading daylight. I tried to make the silhouette to be the focus, but not lose the individual characteristics of the trees themselves.

This artwork was made with 59 colors of embroidery floss. Individual pieces were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and an X-acto knife.
