Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

This “Someplace, Somewhere” card is also available as part of the “Sea Breeze” card pack.

By this point, I have accumulated all of the available colors of DMC embroidery floss. While I routinely utilize specific shades of blues, greens, and neutrals, there are many bright colors that sit unused because they are not present in the nature around me. So when I went to the Caribbean one summer, I knew I finally had the chance to create something using the gleaming teals that I had in my collection that would feel out of place in my typical landscapes. The colors in this piece instantly take you to a world far from here.

This artwork was made with individual pieces of embroidery floss that were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and an X-acto knife.
