Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

This “Among the Ferns” card is also available as part of the “Camano Coast” card pack.

Whenever I travel back home to the Pacific Northwest, I am always on the lookout for inspiration. I will never get tired of the way tall evergreens engulf the cool forest floor and provide the perfect shelter for so much life to find a home. When I was standing under these trees, I was in awe and I knew I had to show the figure out how to depict the unruly ferns in embroidery floss.

This artwork was made with 36 colors of embroidery floss. Individual pieces were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and an X-acto knife.
