Description

This framed canvas print is 16″ x 20″ (total framed dimensions 18″ x 22″). The canvas is stretched on stretcher bars and set in a floating frame. Due to the size and fragility of shipping large canvas pieces, there is an additional $30 for shipping. Everyone needs a place of refuge – somewhere to go to escape the chaos of life. For me, there is something so peaceful about the setting sun and the turning of daytime into dusk. This transition is the most beautiful part of this day-and-night cycle. My favorite part of this piece is the warm glow of the clouds still holding on to the last bit of the sun as it fades away.

This artwork was made with individual pieces of embroidery floss that were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and a toothpick.
