Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

This “Feels Like Spring” card, along with 4 detailed sections of the artwork, is also available as part of the “Floral Bouquet” card pack.

I love recreating flowers with glued embroidery floss. Each individual petal is an opportunity to blend different bright colors to reflect the rich variations present. I had previously made small flower pieces, but I wanted to do something ambitious. So, I went to my local farmers market and purchased a couple of bouquets of flowers. I arranged them together and took a picture from above. Over the course of almost a year, I finished one flower at a time until the full piece was completed.

This artwork was made with 96 colors of embroidery floss. Individual pieces were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and a toothpick.
