Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

Some subject matter sings when it is reflected in an embroidery floss piece, and citrus is one of those subjects. It has strong lines, bold color, and gentle shading – all of these are qualities that I look for when choosing my compositions. This piece is so fun. Lemons, limes and oranges represent summer to me, with the delicious food, drinks and colors that fill those months.

This artwork was made with 48 colors of embroidery floss. Individual pieces were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and an X-acto knife.
