I have some fragments of ideas that ruminate in my mind for years, just waiting for the moment when they make sense. One such image I had captured while at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. I loved the desperate long reach of the tree limbs to the other side bearing the weight of massive foliage. This was another piece that I tried out with a few materials and it never clicked, until I realized while laying awake one night that it would be perfect for fabric. Of course, I had to grow my fabric collection considerably to get the range of colors that I wanted. Thankfully, I was able to get done just in time right before my local fabric store closed.

This artwork was made with 79 different fabrics that were cut up into individual shapes and layered with glue.
