Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

This “Pause in Life’s Pleasures” card is also available as part of the “Camano Coast” card pack.

This limited palette patterned landscape was made as a companion piece to “High Hopes and Daydreams”. I wanted to experiment with using fewer colors that I typically would, and to use a more neutral selection from my large collection of embroidery floss. On a piece this size, I would normally use three times as many thread colors. But there is elegance in simplicity, and intentionally minimizing the colors utilized keeps the focus on the landscape.

This artwork was made with 18 colors of embroidery floss. Individual pieces were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and an X-acto knife.
