This framed canvas print comes in two sizes:

• 14″ x 18″ (total framed dimensions 16″ x 20″) + $20 for shipping
• 20″ x 24″ (total framed dimensions 22″ x 32″) + $30 for shipping

The canvas is stretched on stretcher bars and set in a floating frame. Due to the size and fragility of shipping large framed pieces, there is an additional $50 for shipping. When my now-husband proposed to me at the Japanese Garden in Portland, OR I knew that I had to use this as inspiration for an art piece. What better to symbolize this moment than the signature Japanese maple tree at the garden? When choosing my medium, I wanted something that would have enough variety to show the various oranges and reds in the tree, but that was also portable. This project was mainly completed during my lunch breaks over several months.

This artwork was made using colored pencils. The dots were so small, that I spent more time sharpening the pencils to get a crisp enough point than I did actually making marks on the paper.
