“Great Escape” paper prints are available in two sizes – 8″ x 10″ ($20 + $3 shipping) and 16″ x 20″ ($42 + $5 shipping). These prints are created on archival textured fine art paper with archival inks that should last 100 years with proper care.

Everyone needs a place of refuge – somewhere to go to escape the chaos of life. For me, there is something so peaceful about the setting sun and the turning of daytime into dusk. This transition is the most beautiful part of this day-and-night cycle. My favorite part of this piece is the warm glow of the clouds still holding on to the last bit of the sun as it fades away.

This artwork was made with individual pieces of embroidery floss that were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and a toothpick.
