Description

All cards are handmade using images of artwork. They are 4″ x 6″ and come with a A6 envelope. Each card is blank to be suited for any occasion. An individual card is $5 (+ $3 shipping for the package), or you can purchase your own mix-and-match selection for a discount.

This “Driftwood” card is also available as part of the “Camano Coast” card pack.

When I think of the beach, my ideal version is the Pacific Northwest coastline. I don’t get too excited about warm sandy beaches, but instead would choose a rocky coastline with driftwood, windswept vegetation, and a chilled crisp breeze off the ocean waters. This piece was inspired by a day trip to explore the Washington coast. There is something ethereal about this part of the planet, and I wanted to make a piece that captured that.

This artwork was made with individual pieces of embroidery floss that were glued to the background surface one by one and pushed into place with tiny scissors and a toothpick.
